Reynold dela Cruz was recently hailed as finalist in the 2009 GSIS National Art Competition, and was Honorable Mention in the Vermont Asian Freeman Artist Fellowship USA in 2007 and 2004. He was also a finalist in the 2001 Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards, Jurors’ Choice in the 1999 Letra y Figuras held by Instituto Cervantes, and Grand prize in the 1998 Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards, which led to his largest success to date in competitions as finalist and Philippine Representative to the ASEAN Art Awards in Hanoi, Vietnam. He was also awarded Honorable Mention in the 1997 and 1995 Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards and Jurors’ Choice in the 1995 Art Association of the Philippines Annual Art Competition.
He has held solo exhibitions in Utterly Gallery and Forth Gallery in Singapore, Ortigas Foundation Building in Pasig City, Boston Gallery in Quezon City, Art Verite Gallery in Taguig City, Nineveh Art Gallery in Laguna and Boracay Beach Resort in malay Island, as well as participated in group shows in Instituto Cervantes and Metropolitan Museum in Manila; Jorge B. Vargas Museum, Whitebox Gallery and Boston Gallery in Quezon City; Galerie Francesca, Art Center, Big and Small Art Co., blanc Compound and Shangri-la EDSA Hotel in Mandaluyong City; Art Exchange Glorietta 4, RCBC Plaza Building, Hotel Intercontinental Lobby and Ayala Museum in Makati City; Cultural Center of the Philippines and GSIS Museo ng Sining in CCP Complex, Pasay City; Kulay Diwa Gallery in Paranaque City, Pinto Gallery in Antipolo and BenCab Museum in Baguio City. In Asia, he has shown his works at ABN Amro House, Penang, National Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, The Art Center, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, Earl Lu Gallery La Salle SIA College, Singapore, and Hanoi Opera House, Hanoi, Vietnam.
